Snake Mother of Pearl Earring

The serpent snake, hand carved from a beautiful mother of pearl shell. Snake jewellery was worn as a symbol of protection, as it was believed that the snake could ward off evil spirits and bring good luck. The serpent was also associated with the god of medicine, Asclepius, and was used as a symbol of healing and rejuvenation.
